finally graduating from my Diploma Course...

INTIMA is the name for all the Student Government or Student Council for all the INTI Campuses.
in brief, INTIMA = Student Government/Council of INTI

well, the main thing i wanna say today is very simple..

that, regardless of what had happened..

all the ups and downs..

at least I fulfilled my commitment, my promise..

as the 4th INTIMA President of IICP.

along the road, regardless of how tough my semesters were,

I hang on to it... the word INTIMA was never out of my mind..

that's my commitment =)

Michael Teoh’s message to all everyone:

‘I have to admit where my grass roots first started. It started off in a typical classroom in IICP, where Penang’s best students gather to further their tertiary education! For me, the way I saw education was more than a square classroom where the lecturers control the flow of learning for students – I see a learning experience through Experimentation, Implementation and Achievement outside of the classroom! Well, for me, IICP supports that learning so well!’

‘With my finalist nomination into the AYA Dream Malaysia Most Outstanding Youth Awards 2008 – A dream has been realised! However, this is not my Dream alone, as I have envisioned, this is a Dream for all IICP students! We are not showing that we have a ‘Perfectly All-Rounded’ Alumni back in 2006! No! We are showing to Malaysia that IICP students stand for what they are bred for that is – Excellence and we are guided by Achievements!’

‘None of my achievements could have been realised at this stage with the students’ support! Even I have never seen some of you before, I am keen to meet you in a way or two in the future!’

Michael’s Past Achievements in IICP

‘The Past will be the Past, however I always remember, about tracing back to our grassroots and INTI was the place where I started to blossom!’

ü INTIMA President (2006) – Some referred him as the 1^st INTIMA President that revived the Student Government during its initial stages. Michael calls it ‘INTI gave me a golden opportunity and it could never have been realised without the tremendous team I had that time! The thanks are owed to them, not me.’

ü CEO of INTI Chamber of Commerce (2006) – The founder and chief for the collective of IICP’s business students’ associations. Michael says ‘It started off quite humbly, and I am glad that it has grown into something extravagant today! Its not my effort, it’s the efforts of those future leaders of CoC now!’

ü English Society President (2006) – Students in 2006 like to call it the ‘Reality Show’ event management club of IICP. Why not? Michael has implemented crazy student activities from Survivor, to Debate Tournaments to Amazing Race concept activities. ‘I was experimenting with what Mark Burnett (Producer for Survivor & The Apprentice) would do, and thank goodness, the students loved it! Again, it was not me alone who made it all possible – Huge applause to the student team that helped me!’

ü Youth Director, DiGi Street Blast (2006) – Critics panned this event as one that would either ‘Make’ or ‘Break’ Michael Teoh. ‘Organising the biggest youth festival in the Northern Region of Malaysia with DiGi Berhad is tough and certainly it would have broken me, if it was not for thet superb help from INTIMA! INTIMA is just a breeding ground for excellent leaders! I owe it to them!’

ü Science and Maths Society President (2005) – ‘My first run as President, and we organised the 1^st Alumni Night (if memory serves me correctly) that year! We also organised the annual HSC Summer Carnival – A combination of Amazing Race through Botanical Gardens, wrapping up with a nice BBQ by the beach – Totally priceless.’

Michael’s message (Again) to everyone :

Myvi Manual or Myvi Auto

just doing a random research..

and I need opinions..

just wanna listen to any opinions...

Myvi Auto or Manual,
which one is better in terms of performance, power and quality?

To me,
Myvi is quite heavy, and it seems that the gearbox of Myvi is quite unstable..
which means that even when it is supposed to shift to an upper gear (when u heard the loud vroom vroom sound of the engine d), it doesn't..

So, does that mean that for Myvi Auto, myvi actually can't reach it's true potential power and performance ? whereas for Myvi Manual, you can actually 'fully control' the car? shifting the car at appropriate speed as you want ?

today kicked off with a tiring morning..
after a late sleep last night..
forced myself to wake up as I had to duty on 10 am..

went through a very hectic afternoon and evening o..
really really very busy..

things never stop coming ..
it has been quite a while since I was last being seen so busy I guess..

Creative Ways to Date a Girl to Prom

days ago baby actually mentioned that maybe we can put some other interesting stuffs on the Prom Notice board..

very very good suggestions she gave...

Creative Ways to Date a Girl to Prom

Here's the lame way to ask a guy or girl to prom (don't do this):

"Hey, do ya' wanna go to a dance?"

"Sure. I guess so."

It's much more fun to invite or answer an invitation for a date creatively. The following are some suggestions for asking a girl to prom in a creative way, but can also be used by girls to ask guys to dances or for other dates.

Inflate Your Date's Ego

Write your date information on small slips of paper (time, place, date, type of dress, etc.) then slip each one into a different balloon. Inflate the balloons and tie them together with ribbon or make a bouquet out of them. Deliver to your date's house, classroom, or work.

Kid's Stuff

Borrow your younger brother's remote control car (or a neighbor's) and tape the invitation to it. Knock on your date's door and then hide. When your date answers the door, drive the car up and deliver the invitation.

Good Fortune

Slip the date information into a fortune cookie. Get a small takeout box from a nearby Chinese restaurant and deliver it. You could also take your date out to Chinese food and work it out with the restaruant ahead of time to give your date the "prepared" fortune cookie (if you do this you may want to have an unwrapped cookie given to you too so it doesn't see so obvious).

Treasure hunt

Check out your date's yard and decide on three to five hiding places for messages. Map it out and be creative in how many steps and what kind of steps to take from place to place. Leave a piece of candy and a "good job" note at all but the last place. Leave the the invitation at the last one.

Make a map for your date to follow. On the map write, "Follow this map. Your Friday night may depend on it."

GOLDFISH in the Bathtub

Leave several goldfish in their bathtub. Leave a note saying, "Of all the fish in the sea, I chose you to . . ." (Go to the Prom, spend my Friday night with, etc.)

A Piece of Cake

Wrap the invitation in aluminum foil and bake it in a cake. Put a clue in writing (in frosting) on the cake so they eat it quickly and find the invitation on time.

Don't Be Cold

Put the invitation in an ice cube. The message could say, "Please don't leave me out in the cold. Say that you'll go out with me this coming . . ." or "It would be really cool if you'd . . ." Or put the message on a popsicle.

S-p-e-l-l i-t o-u-t

Spell out the invitation using plastic knives and forks poked into your date's lawn. Leave a picture so your date knows who it is from.

Use Alpha Bits Cereal or alphabet pasta to write out the invitation.

Adoring Kisses

Put Hershey's kisses in the front doorway of their house. "Now that I've kissed the ground you walk on, will you . . ."

Candy Bar Poster

Sugar Daddy, Please don't Snicker. Will you like to go out with me to ____. I always wanted to go with you, since you're such a BIG HUNK. Love, Your Sugar Baby. (Or make up your own message. Some good candies to use: Oh! Henry, Nerds, Zero, Chuckles, Milky Way, M & M's, Mars, Mamba, Skor, Lifesavers, Sweetarts, Almond Joy, Mounds, Hot Tamales, etc.)

Piñata

Put the question in a piñata with lots of candy.

Mission: Impossible

Deliver a tape with this message, "Your date, should you choose to accept it, will be with ________ at _________ time on ________(day). You will be picked up by a person wearing ________. Your date will feel like s/he may self-destruct if you do not reply by ________."

10 Commandments

Have someone dressed up like Moses deliver the invitation worded like the 10 commandments--e.g. Thou shalt have no other dates before me, Thou shalt be ready at 7 pm on the 23rd of May, 1999, etc. (To answer this invitation, you could make a pan of Red JELL-O with the answer at the bottom in the middle--so that the person would have to part the "Red Sea.")

Wanted: Alive

Make posters around the school, neighborhood, or home of your date that has his picture on it. Offer a reward to him when he comes to your house. Dress up like a sheriff when you ask him.

Fatal Attraction

Draw a chalk outline of yourself outside the person's house. Then leave a note with your name and all of the information on it that says, "I'd die to go to ________ with you."

You're Eggstra Special!

Put the invitation cut into strips in plastic Easter eggs.

In the Still of the Night

Serenade under one of their windows. Make up new words to a song you and your friends know. The new words give the information about the date. For example, new words for "In the Still of the Night." "Come with me, Friday night. Seven o'clock until midnight. Dinner first, then a dance. Come on baby. Give me a chance. Come with me Friday night (Come with me Friday night-----)."

Come Fly With Me

Write the invitation like an airplane itinerary and deliver with a bag or peanuts or pretzels and an toy airplane.

Decorate your date's car and leave the invitation on the windshield wiper.

Yesterday, early in the morning at 8am..

attended the training specially conducted to us by Mr Loo and Mr Beh to prepare us for the CIMA Business Game.

We started off with 9 people, with another person MIA (missing in action)~

Then the 5 people of my team I knew 3 of them, Lean Li, Soon Khee and Lalita...

And I remember Miss Lim actually showed me the name list,
with another person named Lim Wei Min..

therefore I started looking around and trying to find her..
but couldn't locate her lor..
so I thought that
"Okay, maybe the one MIA-ing is Wei Min lor... Most prolly is d"

Clock ticked and ticked...
Until the last member arrived when the training was half-way through..
mana tau.. it was Soon Khee's friend, dunno her name...
Then I had this thought in my mind,
"Eh, that one is Soon Khee's friend, from Curtin de mar rite ? I thought Wei Min is from TAFE mia ? Furthermore I don't think her name is Wei Min ??"

Then I started to look around and thought that, okay, maybe the lecturers changed the line-up with another Curtin student lor...

Lean Li then came and asked me who is on our team..
Introduced her to Soon Khee and Lalita.. and vice versa too..

The conversation continued ...

LBS : Hey, now only 4 of us nia eh, anyone knows who is the 5th member ?

LBS : As I remember, her name is Lim Wei Min right?

Soon Khee and Lalita : ????? (No Idea wor)

LBS : Hey Lean Li, do you know who is this Lim Wei Min and where is she ?

Lean Li : (Pointed at the guy in front of her, Aaron)

LBS : What ?! He is Lim Wei Min ?!?! NANIII ??

Lean Li : Ya lar, you dunno meh ?

Then Aaron turned around and looked at me..
LBS : Wa, you're Lim Wei Min ar ? SURE ??

Aaron : Ya lar, you dunno meh ?


So now the mystery has been solved !!

I'm more than delighted to know that !!
looked high upon him since last semester, after we designed the notice board together mia..
was initially disappointed that none of the Semester 2 guys were in the same team with me..

This guy has the potentials to be a great leader.. and he is already showing them slowly~
anyways, he's also the Managing Director for TAFE Club, and I bet he can achieve higher sooner or later..

Anyways, no offence ya Aaron, for initially thinking that you're a HER >.=..
can't blame me ler guys.. a normal ordinary person would've the same though too isn't it ?

really glad after I found out that Wei Min is actually Aaron..
huge relief o!
at least now I know that this team is actually bu jian dan and can really put up a tough fight with USM o =)

Most Difficult Task

the most difficult task on earth..

isn't what I mentioned in the previous post..

isn't about organising a prom..

isn't about joining a competition..

isn't about doing tax nor assignments..

but,

it is to understand girl's mind...

September : Time to get Serious

okay, finally a good bye to August and a warm welcome to September.

tough September I would say...

by agreeing to join a business competition (or did I?), I've made my September a hectic and tough month.

at the end of September, there will be a 2-weeks Spring break,
BUT BEFORE that..
have to pass through many mountains and rivers lor~

First of all, I'm approaching the mid-term of my Semester 4...
at the middle of September, just right before the break , according to experience, there should be tons of assignments to be submitted, as well as a few tests and assessments to be conducted against us.
Summary : Assignments, Tests

Next, there will be a business game, sort like a business competition around the corner.
It's called CIMA Penang Branch Business Game 2008.
it is a computer-based competition o,O ???
anyways, let's hope that it will be something similar to INTIMA 4th Conference's Simulation, as that would make things much easier for me =D

Very rare that Penang has this kind of business competition as most business games are held in KL.

Really very very rare, most prolly the 1st time in so many years.
So, havta treasure this golden opportunity to absorb some valuable experiences o~
anyways, local universities and colleges will be taking part as well, so we're expecting tough opponents o >.-

all the best lar har INTI Penang.

(the head and lecturers selected the team mia, they think that academic result is everything.. especially the one who sits at the top there.. lolz..

what I would like to say is that, business is business, academic is academic.. these 2 are totally DIFFERENT ..

well, we will see..let's hope for the best lorr ~
anyways, looking forward to work with Soon Khee and Lalita from Curtin Program, heard many good things about them~ )

Last year I dedicated every single day of my Spring Break to Prom 2007, and I have no regret of doing that tho~ ^^

I Salute Lee Chong Wei

Despite suffering a heavy defeat in the Beijing Olympic Badminton Men Singles Final to Lin Dan of China, Lee Chong Wei, our local hero deserves my salute.

Yea, on that night itself, and the day after, it appeared that our hero turned to a villain after a shock defeat to Lin Dan in the final. Many people were blaming on how badly he played. Even my friends were saying that he played so badly and he sucks.

But in my opinion, he did his best and he deserves to be honoured and saluted.

I used to train and play badminton too, therefore I understand that it's seriously not easy in this sports. Seriously seriously NOT EASY !

That's why when people and friends criticised how poor he played and how shameful he should be, I just kept quiet.

First of all, NO OFFENCE to ANYONE.
For those who criticised him so badly, I would like to respond like below...

"Please lar, say till so gao, criticised Lee Chong Wei till so chan, u all go play and see lor.
Try go join any single badminton competition, don't havta be 5-star tournament, any domestic tournament such as Penang Junior Open will do, then u all will know the TASTE."

the main reason why I'm backing Lee so strongly is because I play badminton too and I know that badminton is not that simple and easy like what we all witness on eyes and like what people describe with words.

anyways, Congratulation to Lee Chong Wei for winning a medal and ending Malaysia's 12-year-Olympic medal-less drought.
Also the first person to win a Silver medal for Badminton Men Singles for Malaysia.

Recently Astro AEC 301 had an interview session with Lee Chong Wei.

One of the things he mentioned that I remember the most was that,

"其实,我也很想赢得那片金牌,但真的是好不容易. 就连赢个银牌都那么的不简单了.

我背着的压力和期望,有时真的使我喘不过气来."
