New Year + New Year's Eve (31/12/07 - 1/1/08)

gonna include 2 days in this post o, which is New Year's Eve (31/12/2007) and New Year (1/1/08) o~

left home quite late on new year's eve mia, then fetched baby to gurney o~
the traffic, unexpectedly showed such a smooth pace, thought it would be far jammer as it was new year's eve de... mana tahu, just like normal day nia

reached gurney plaza at about 5 something.
to my surprise, the whole place was as COLD as Antarctic !!
omg, new year's eve lehhh... not even the half of amount of ppl during xmas eve leh !!!
this happened to the whole gurney drive too. normally traffic would have been closed at 4 or 5 pm, but this year, at 7 o clock cars were still moving around gurney drive o..
the whole gurney drive plus gurney plaza itself at 7 pm , was so so COLD and people there were so less o...

therefore, me and xinyi dear decided to go to Esplanade ...(yayyy ! glad that we made this decision !!! with no regret xD )

BUT HOW to go ?

okay,i know it sounds crazy, but we actually WALKED from gurney drive all the way to Esplanade.

took us about 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach Esplanade from Gurney Plaza. Phew, what an exercise it was ! but no regret de o ^^

the atmosphere there was so nice !!! the number of people there, not too crowded, yet not too less, what can i say is, JUST RIGHT o ! the breeze and wind was quite cool.

the combination of the weather, atmosphere, surroundings and people made the night itself looked lively, ALMOST PERFECT was the best to describe the night on new year's eve.

me and baby walked around Esplanade, then finally settled down at a quite strategic spot, which in our 2 o'clock was the stage o ~ stood there for about an hour before 12 am o~
chit chatted and enjoyed watching the concert

5 minutes before new year, the emcee invited some VIPs including Dr Teng Hock Nam up to the stage to deliver his speeching and wishing o.

sharp at 10 seconds before 12am, the countdown begun !! with both huge screens showing the clock, all of us counted from 10 to 1 together and then...... HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!

the fireworks were so nice !! lasted for 7 minutes !! OMG, just so beautiful o !!!!

after that, walked back to gurney and then went to get our 1st drink in year 2008 o~ Slurpy and 7-up from 7-11 x-D

had lots lots of fun o ! sent baby back, then reached home at about 2.30am o =D


First very 5 Things I've Done in Year 2008
1) =-X
2) gave baby a hug
3) wishes baby happy new year
4) watched fireworks, soooooo pretty !!
5) walked from esplanade to gurney


My review :
Never regret walking to Esplanade o ! else i would've missed out lots of fun, pleasant atmosphere and fascinating fireworks !

That was the BEST New Year's Eve Countdown I've had so far o =)

Had lots lots of fun with baby. Delightful memories will be cherished until the end of the time o =)
